Scour protection works completed on time and on budget.
USL have completed the bridge repair and maintenance contract awarded to them by Atkins working on behalf Gloucestershire Highways. The works involved the subsea repair of the bridge piers, the repair of scoured areas and the installation of scour protection. The project was completed on time to budget and to the strict requirements of the environment agency.
USL have been awarded the prestigious contract to supply the diving support services to Volker Stevin Marine during the ImmersionPhase of the New Tyne Tunnel Construction.
The project is currently the largest civil engineering project being undertaken in the UK at a value of £280,000,000. More details to follow
USL have successfully completed the contract for supplying diving support services for the recovery of Trident Energy’s prototype wave energy device.
USL were awarded the contract and provided all of the diving support for the recovery operations. Throughout the project USL worked in cooperation with Felixarc Marine, ABP marine, GPS Marine, Smalls & Co as well as others.
This successful recovery operation marks another renewable energy project that USL has been involved in and also shows again USL’s diverse range of skills in working in very difficult conditions with 400 tonne crane barges.
USL has proven again that they safely deliver the results required in the toughest of conditions.
